Normally this message occurs when the hard drive is dead. The first thing to check would be to open the landlord and make sure all cables that leading to the unit are connected and secure. If they are then the following would check the BIOS to see if there is a free hard disk utility test. Run this and see if there is no recommendation. Apart from that hard drive is probably toast and beyond recovery. There have been rare here, where you can use ERD Commander to retrieve some data from the drive after a while cool or refrigerate for a while. Hope this helps
